Short video passed on by netizens this Wednesday, 13, draws attention to the character’s saga
20 years after the premiere of ‘Ice Age’, the curious character Scrat thrilled netizens this Wednesday, the 13th. A short animation shows the squirrel capturing the nut, a fact that pursued him during the films of the famous franchise.
With the release of the animation, netizens showed a lot of emotion. “Oh my God I never thought I’d see him finally eating the nut I’m thrilled no one talk to me please,” wrote an internet user in response to the ‘Disney Almanac’ profile on Twitter.
THE END OF AN ERA! ????
After 20 years of relentless pursuit, Scrat finally gets the long-awaited nut/acorn.

striking scene
The scene which lasts approximately 34 seconds was uploaded in an unlisted video on an unofficial channel called ‘Finale’ on Youtube. The video features the title ‘The End’.
The video’s description reads as follows: ‘In the final days of Blue Sky Studios, a small team of artists came together to make a final scene. This scene is a farewell, a farewell on our own terms.”
Blue Sky Studios, the company responsible for ‘Ice Age’ and ‘Rio’, was officially closed by Disney, as reported by Deadline last year.
“Given the current economic realities, after much consideration and evaluation, we have made the difficult decision to close filming operations at Blue Sky Studios,” a representative told Deadline last year.
Recreio Digital’s newsroom did not find an official statement from the companies regarding the video that caught the attention of internet users. However, it is worth remembering that the character stars in a new Disney production: they are six animated shorts that will be released on April 13, on Disney+.
