Homeowners who help IDPs with accommodation free of charge will receive UAH 900 per month from the state for each adopted person.
As part of the Prihistok state program, Ukrainians who provided shelter over their heads to internally displaced persons will receive a monthly payment of up to 900 hryvnias per person. This is what Vice Prime Minister – Minister for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories Irina Vereshchuk said in a conversation with reporters on Sunday, August 28.
According to him, the relevant resolution will soon be adopted by the Cabinet of Ministers.
“We discussed the issues of amending the resolutions, and this is the jurisdiction of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine. When we say that people are waiting for the Prihisto program to work, it will work very much not 450, but 900 hryvnias will be mandatory as compensation from the state, so that people can accommodate the next migrants,” said the minister.
It can be recalled that the Prihistok program was launched by the government at the end of March. Under its terms, homeowners who help displaced people with housing for free will receive from the state about UAH 450 per month for each adopted person, regardless of age, to pay utility bills.
