The Israeli publication reported that the Russian Federation has begun returning its air defense systems, which were previously located on Syrian territory.

Russia is returning its S-300 anti-aircraft missile system (SAM) from Syria. The Kremlin could use them in the war against Ukraine. This is reported by the Israeli edition of Kan.

The media published a photo where you can see that Russia has transferred an anti-aircraft battery of the S-300 type from Masyaf to its base in Tartus.

In Tartus, the air defense system was loaded onto a ship and sent to Russia.

The publication suggests that Russia may use the S-300 in the future in the war against Ukraine due to the lack of weapons, which is currently observed in the army of the aggressor country.

In addition, in the pictures you can see the loss of the battery that was deployed last month. It is intended to protect the skies over the Russian base Hamim and the port of Tartus.

Remember, on June 30, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry announced the severance of diplomatic relations with Syria after Damascus recognized the “independence” of the self-proclaimed “LDNR”.
