The Ukrainian authorities intend to increase the volume of exported foods three times – from one million tons to three.
Ukraine plans to export three million tons of grain monthly. This is what President Volodymyr Zelensky said in a video message on Friday, August 26.
“44 ships with agricultural products of Ukraine have already been sent to 15 countries of the world, there are 70 more requests for the arrival of ships for loading. The goal is to reach the volume of three million tons of export by sea every month. And this is very important for Africa, Asia and Europe,” – said the head of state.
He also noted that the grain initiative not only solves the global food crisis, but also creates jobs for Ukrainians.
“I still remember the joy of the port workers in Odessa when they not only found out, but actually saw that the port continued to work. This is a really important result for Ukraine, the Black Sea region and the whole world,” said Zelensky.
Remember, according to the Ukrainian leader, in the first month of the grain initiative, Ukraine managed to export one million tons of grain.
