It was noted that according to the European Border and Coast Guard Agency Frontex, from February 24 to August 22, 998,085 Russian citizens crossed the borders of the EU.
The representative of this department added that on August 16-22, the number of Russians who entered the European Union slightly decreased compared to the previous week.
Recall that on August 31, EU foreign ministers at a meeting in Prague will discuss visa restrictions for Russians against the backdrop of the war in Ukraine. At the same time, some countries support a complete ban on issuing tourist visas to Russian citizens.
