The Bologna process support group decided to suspend the right of representation of the Russian Federation and Belarus in the process.
Representatives of the offices of the Russian Federation and Belarus are not included in the pan-European process of unification of higher education systems, known as the Bologna process. This was announced on Wednesday, April 13, by Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Serhiy Shkarlet.
It was noted that the Bologna Process Support Group has decided to suspend the right to represent the Russian Federation and Belarus in the Bologna Process, as well as in working groups, all other structures and the work program of the European Higher Education Area.
“The basis for the decision was a corresponding statement signed by 39 governments, 6 advisory members of the Bologna Process and representatives of the European Register for Quality Assurance in Higher Education,” Education and Science Minister Sergei Shkarlet wrote .
He also expressed gratitude to the Secretariat of the Bologna Process Support Group for supporting Ukraine during this difficult time.
It was previously reported that Russia and Belarus held alternative Paralympics due to non -participation in the global one.
Also, Russia and Belarus were left without hockey. And the International Federation removed the World Youth Championship from Russia.
