President Volodymyr Zelensky supported the desire of UN Secretary General António Guterres to organize the Summit of the Future in 2023 and offered to hold it in Ukraine. The head of state said this in his speech at a meeting of the UN General Assembly on Wednesday, August 24.
According to the Ukrainian leader, it will be very symbolic if this event is held in Ukraine, because it is on the territory of our state that the future of the world is now being decided.
“To build the future, we need to leave in the dustbin of history what has always prevented humanity from living in peace, namely aggression and colonial ambitions, that is, what Russia brought to Ukraine. And I believe that let’s really. build the future,” he said.
The President stressed that the issue of the security of the entire free world was resolved in the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant, and in the ports of Ukraine, and in Donbass, and in Crimea.
“Our freedom is your security,” Zelensky stressed.
Recall that the Ukrainian leader also told the partners from the UN that Russia should be stopped by the victory of Ukraine.
