In Ukraine, fighting the Russian invaders, a soldier from New Zealand died. New Zealand’s Defense Minister Penny Henare said the soldier died while on vacation, The Guardian wrote.
“I express my condolences to the family, friends and colleagues of the New Zealand soldier, who reportedly died in Ukraine while on leave from the army,” the minister said.
The Defense Forces clarified that the deceased from New Zealand was on unpaid leave.
It is also reported that the New Zealand military is training Ukrainian colleagues in the UK, this country provides Ukraine with other support.
It was previously reported that foreign volunteers came to Ukraine to help the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the war with Russia.
