The Ukrainian Air Force is ready for the development of events on August 24.
The military prepared for any scenarios, considered different options and the situation. On August 22, Yuriy Ignat, a representative of the command of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, stated this on the air of the national telethon.
Air force warriors will protect our skies. We need to know what the enemy is preparing for, what forces and means he has concentrated on the approaches to our borders – constant reconnaissance is being carried out. We will monitor and try to adequately respond to any threats that the enemy has probably prepared for us for our main holiday,” he said.
The Ukrainian side takes into account the presence of Russian aircraft at dozens of airfields in Belarus, on the territory of Crimea and in the Russian Federation. It also takes into account all the missile weapons that the occupiers have concentrated around Ukraine.
Recall that in the Black Sea there are five carriers of cruise missiles of the Caliber type with a total of more than 36 units. Law enforcement officers urged Ukrainians to comply with the conditions of the air alert and be sure to hide in shelter on the holidays on August 23-25.
