Electrical engineers have more work due to the intensive shelling of the occupiers in the Dnepropetrovsk region.
Over the past week, DTEK’s emergency brigades restored electricity to 66,000 families in 136 settlements of Donetsk and Dnepropetrovsk regions that suffered from shelling by the occupiers, according to the company’s website on Monday, August 22.
A very difficult situation remains in the Donetsk region, where every day, almost throughout the region, due to rocket, air and shelling, the infrastructure of the power grid and the houses of civilians are destroyed.
“Just last week, DTEK electricians resumed electricity supply to nearly 47,000 residents of the region in 97 settlements of Bakhmut, Kramatorsk and Pokrovsky districts. For most of these families, the electricity supply was had to be restored more than 10 times due to the continued breakdown of the power grid,” the report said.
Also, electrical engineers noticed that there was more work in the Dnepropetrovsk region due to a significant increase in the intensity and frequency of enemy shelling. During the week, the power grids of Nikopol and Krivoy Rog districts were damaged every day. Within a week, power engineers continued the supply of electricity to nearly 18.5 thousand families in 18 settlements.
Today, 73,000 houses in the Donetsk region and more than 3,000 houses in the Dnipropetrovsk region remain without electricity.
It should be noted that a week before, DTEK power engineers restored electricity supply to 83 settlements for 53,000 families.
