Overall, as of the morning of August 22, the number of affected children in Ukraine rose to 1,096.
“More than 1,096 children suffered in Ukraine as a result of the large-scale armed aggression of the Russian Federation. On the morning of August 22, 2022, the official number of child victims per day did not change – 373. The number of increased the injured – more than 723,” the Office of the Prosecutor General reported.
These numbers are not final, as work is underway to establish them in areas of active conflict, in temporarily occupied and liberated territories.
Children suffered the most in Donetsk region – 387, Kharkov – 202, Kyiv – 116, Chernihiv – 68, Mykolaiv – 65, Lugansk – 61, Kherson – 55, Zaporozhye – 41.
Remember, on the eve it was reported that in the Dnipropetrovsk region, the Russians shelled the community of Zelenodolsk, six people were injured, including a child.
