The German federal government is preparing a new military aid package for the transition to Ukraine.
The German government, together with the EU, will buy 225 Vulcano missiles for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This was said on Friday, August 19, in a published statement on the acquisition of weapons.
“For security reasons, the federal government is withholding detailed information about transport methods and dates until the moment of transfer,” the German federal government said in a statement.
The Vulcano was a joint development of the concerns of Leonardo and Diehl.
Vulcano Ballistic Extended Range (BER) – a projectile without a guidance module, hits targets at a distance of 50-80 km when fired from cannons with 52-caliber barrels.

Ukraine will receive high-precision 155-mm Vulcano projectiles from Germany
The accuracy of hitting such a projectile is achieved thanks to the INS / GPS aiming system and a semi-active laser guidance system. This works in the last phase and gives an extra chance to hit moving targets.
Earlier, the Bundestag said that the supply of arms to Kyiv was being blocked by Scholz’s office. The chancellor’s office is the “bottleneck” through which German military aid slows down.
It has also been reported that some of the German PzH 2000s in Ukraine are out of order.
