In Malta, the parish priest of Marsaklokk, Luc Seguna, spent almost 150 thousand euros from parishioners’ money on pornographic sites. The Times of Malta reported this.
According to the investigation, the priest has been embezzling donations for several years and spending them on sites that provide live sex shows. In this regard, Shoguna told investigators that at the time he was battling a “sexual crisis” caused by serious health problems.
However, when contacted, his lawyers, the priest began to deny any wrongdoing. He claims that the payments were made to him personally, while the prosecution said that he embezzled about 500 thousand euros, which were transferred to him by 150 parishioners over ten years, and that this money was intended for the church.
Luke Shoguna was also charged with fraud, falsification of a public act and use of a forged document. It will be noted that he has hundreds of thousands of euros in various bank accounts and a collection of five motorcycles and two cars, despite the cleric’s relatively small income.
It was previously reported that in the Sumy region, the police detained a priest who had helped the enemy during the occupation.
