Man in charge of maintaining a home in Martin County, on the east coast Florida (USA), was sentenced to life in prison for the murder of a woman whose body was subsequently thrown into a cesspool, local media reported on Wednesday.
Keoki DemichThe 34-year-old pleaded guilty to murder to avoid the death penalty, for which he will spend the rest of his life behind bars, being sentenced to three consecutive life sentences, local 5WPTV reported.
Finding the body of a missing woman Cynthia Cole57 years, happened March 5, when detectives from the county sheriff’s office were digging through the patio of the victim’s home in Jensen Beach with shovels and “found a body in the septic tank.”
“Detectives dug for hours in Cole’s backyard and found a submerged body in a septic tank about four feet (1.22 meters) deep,” police said on social media at the time.

Shortly after the body was found, detectives found and arrested Demich, who was in charge of maintaining Cole’s house, and “charged him with second-degree murder”, a charge that was upgraded to first-degree murder.
