The moratorium will be in effect during martial law and six months after it ends for gas, heat and hot water tariffs. The difference in tariffs will be paid by the state to the supplier.

“The heating season has no increase in tariffs for heat and hot water for consumers. The President of Ukraine has signed the most important law that will ensure both price stability in the field of heat supply and the ability live on the finances of communal heat enterprises,” said Chernyshov.

Also, the said law defines guarantees for business entities in the field of heat supply, in particular, it provides compensation for the difference in tariffs.

In addition, the document provides for a postponement of the payment of debts under debt restructuring agreements for the enterprises of heat communal energy (TKE) and water supply and sewage (WSS) whose facilities of production located in temporarily occupied territory or destroyed or damaged as a result of shelling or located in a combat zone.

Recall that on July 29, the Verkhovna Rada introduced a ban on raising gas and heat tariffs for the population. The decision was supported by 260 people’s representatives.
