An adviser to the head of the Office of the President believes that one of the reasons for the liberation of the peninsula is a duty to its indigenous population.
Ukraine should free Crimea from Russian occupation for several reasons. Including the debt to the Crimean Tatars. This was stated by the adviser to the head of the Office of the President, Mikhail Podolyak, in an interview with Channel 24.
“We have a great responsibility to the Crimean Tatars, who were forced to be deported in 1994 and 2014 and are now paying a huge price – they are constantly being arrested there, they are disappearing, it’s just terrible. And we have a duty to the Crimean Tatars and we have to fulfill it – to liberate the Crimean territory,” he said.
According to him, based on international law, Ukraine should do everything in Crimea that it does in any of its other territories temporarily occupied by the Russians: destroy military targets.
“And we will do it. How? Well, you yourself understand that we will demand sun, air, water and even tobacco products so that they can effectively work in ammunition depots. On the other hand, we will insist that Russia voluntarily dismantle all illegal constructions, including military bases and bridges, built in Crimea for eight years,” the adviser insisted.
Podolyak also noted that in the future, the danger for Russian invaders will only grow in Crimea. He says that protest moods are gradually growing in Crimea.
“Regarding things like the Kerch bridge, it seems to me that it is not a question of the military destruction of this bridge. It is a question that he can somehow “get together from fatigue” – it will be a little wild for it is up to him to tolerate such a number of people fleeing from Crimea. Let’s hope for that,” he concluded.
Recall that the second president of Ukraine, Leonid Kuchma, gave his assessment of the conflicts. In his opinion, Ukraine’s war against Russia will not end quickly, its duration will be affected by a number of factors.
Earlier, Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov said that the war unleashed by Russia against Ukraine has three possible scenarios for the end.
