For the first time in a month, the Kremlin did not report on its “successes” during the war in Ukraine, experts said.
For the first time since July 6, Russia has not reported any “accomplishments” in the war against Ukraine. Moreover, the Russian army is conducting limited and unsuccessful attacks in Donbass. This was reported in the report of the American Institute for the Study of War (ISW).
The experts of the Institute noted that the Russian invaders of the Donetsk region tried to attack the south of Seversk and the northeast of Bakhmut.
The enemy army continues offensive operations near Donetsk, particularly in the north, west and southwest of the city.
Also, the troops of the Russian Federation made an unsuccessful attack attempt in the direction of Zaporozhye: from Yegorovka to Shevchenko. These two settlements are located east of the border of Donetsk and Zaporozhye regions.
It will be recalled that the ISW said that there was a split in the forces occupying Russia. Militias of the so-called “LPR” refused to continue fighting in the Donetsk region and complained about the tiresome pace of the offensive outside the Luhansk region.
Also, the Institute for the Study of War reported that the Russian Federation’s goal in the war in Ukraine remains unchanged – to achieve regime change in Kyiv and control most of the country. However, the Kremlin is trying to distort its true goals.
