The head of the Lithuanian Ministry of Defense, Arvydas Anusauskas, believes that Russia’s movement of its weapons does not affect the general situation.

Russia’s demonstrative transfer of hypersonic Kinzhal missiles to the Kaliningrad region does not cause concern in neighboring Lithuania. This was said by the Minister of Defense of the country Arvydas Anusauskas on the air of BNS, according to the edition of Delfi.

He emphasized that these missiles do not change the general situation. In particular, Russian reserves in the Kaliningrad region have been greatly depleted, as the Russian Federation is using them in the war against Ukraine.

“I don’t think we should worry too much about the location of one or another of their missiles. Moreover, the arsenals located in Kaliningrad were heavily used in the war against Ukraine. They took a lot from there. These missiles do not change the situation in any way,” he said. official

According to him, “the nominal threat posed by Russia to its neighbors has always existed, but the threat level has not become higher because of it.”

It can be remembered that Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda announced the allocation of a new package of military aid to Ukraine.

In addition, Nauseda promised that his country would provide military, humanitarian and financial assistance to Ukraine until victory.
