Russia is worse than terrorists because it is “greedy” and has no plans to leave Ukraine anywhere or stop this war, the president said.

The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said that Russia does not want to end this war, and therefore all negotiations with this state are futile. On Wednesday, August 17, the president said this in a conversation with Chilean students and media, answering a question about the absence of intermediary states in the negotiations between Ukraine and the Russian Federation.

“For many years we have wanted negotiations, we know that a full-scale invasion can happen at any time and that we cannot live permanently with the fact that there will be a full-scale war. We have understood who our neighbor is and what is happening in general, but Russia chose this path, the path of destruction of all lives in Ukraine. He does not need any mediator,” he said.

At the same time, Zelensky compared Russia to terrorists, calling it “greedy.”

“They came to our land and started this war just to destroy us. There are no mediators who will suit them. Because they are only interested in one thing – their complete domination of Ukraine, so that we do not exist, that there are no people. who want be independent. They do not see us as members of the EU in the future, they do not see us as members of a democratic and independent state,” said the president.

He emphasized that Russia sees Ukraine as a colony.

“They are not people. What kind of mediators can there be between people and animals? You will not find mediators, because Russia does not want to end this war,” Zelensky added.

Earlier, the President announced in which sectors of the front the most difficult battles are taking place.
