Ukrainian fighters neutralized expensive enemy aircraft with the help of small arms.
Ukrainian defenders shot down a kamikaze drone and a reconnaissance UAV of the invaders with small arms. The value of Russian technology is estimated at several million rubles.
The 28th separate mechanized brigade named after the Knights of the Winter Campaign reported this on its Facebook page on Wednesday, August 17.
“The soldiers of one of the units of the 28th OMBR recently shot down 2 enemy drones at once: the Lancet-3 kamikaze drone and the Eleron-3 reconnaissance UAV. At the same time, as the defenders themselves shared, for this they need only personal small arms! That is, a few shots of our knights cost the Russian Federation several million rubles.
It should be noted that fighters of the special purpose regiment Azov carried out a successful special operation: they destroyed enemy equipment, an ammunition depot and enemy manpower in the Kharkiv region.
Recall that the attack on the PMC Wagner base took place the day before. At the same time, it was noted that the Russians on social networks blamed the military correspondent, who visited the base on August 8 and posted a photo, which made it possible for the Ukrainian military to determine the location of the invaders. Today it is reported that more than 50 attackers have been removed, and photos and videos have emerged from the scene.
In addition, the Wagner PMC played a central role in the battles for Popasna and Lysychansk in the Luhansk region, but suffered heavy losses.
