Volodymyr Zelensky, President of Ukraine, will hold talks in Lviv on August 18 with UN Secretary General António Guterres, who arrived on a visit to our state.
This is reported by Reuters.
Guterres will meet with Zelensky in Lvov in western Ukraine to discuss the situation at the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant, as well as the search for a political solution to the conflict with Russia, the agency said.
Zelensky will also hold talks with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on August 18. However, it is not yet clear in what format they will take place – online or Erdogan will also come to Lviv.
On August 19, the UN Secretary General will visit Odessa, the Black Sea port, the export of grain from which has recently resumed thanks to an agreement brokered by the UN.
On August 20, Guterres in Istanbul will visit the Joint Coordination Center in Istanbul, created under the “grain agreement”, which includes Russian, Ukrainian, Turkish officials and UN representatives.
