The head of the Canadian government was one of the participants in the online summit on the annexation and return of Crimea.
Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau will participate in the online Crimean Platform Summit next week. This was reported by the press service of the Crimean platform on its Twitter account on Monday, August 15.
“Thanks to Justin Trudeau for confirming participation in the online summit. We greatly appreciate Canada’s support. This year, the Crimean Platform faces deeper challenges due to Russia’s illegal and unjustified full-scale invasion of Ukraine, ” said the report.
The President of Ukraine started holding the second summit of the Crimean Platform one year after the first summit. It will be held online on Tuesday, August 23rd.
There are currently 48 active participants in the Crimean Platform. However, they are not the only ones invited to the summit.
The Crimean Platform is an international format created in 2021 aimed at achieving the de-occupation of Crimea.
The first summit of the Crimean Platform took place in 2021, also on August 23 in Kyiv. It was attended by representatives of 47 states and international organizations that approved a joint interstate decision on how to act to stop the annexation and return Ukrainian Crimea.
