To replace the lost equipment, new modern vehicles, tractors, fire tanks and other equipment are arriving every day.
The State Emergency Service has lost more than 1,300 pieces of equipment since the beginning of the Russian Federation’s massive invasion of Ukraine. This was announced on Monday, August 15, in the press service of the department.
It was noted that the equipment is now needed to save people and eliminate the consequences of the Russian invasion.
“However, step by step, the State Emergency Service is recovering. Every day, the fleet of the Service is replenished with new modern cars, tractors, fire tanks and other equipment, the task of which is to eliminate consequences of emergencies in general and Russian aggression in particular,” said the rescuers.
Currently, 24 units of the latest domestically produced equipment have been purchased for state funds. More than 170 are expected to receive before the end of this year.
It was earlier reported that the State Emergency Service saved more than 1,500 hectares of grain from fires after the shelling.
The State Emergency Service also reported that it will take at least ten years to clean up the territory of Ukraine after the war.
