During the qualifying match of the WTA 1000 tournament in the American Cincinnatus, a fan with the Ukrainian flag was forced to leave the stands.
The scandalous incident occurred at the match between the Russians Anna Kalinskaya and Anastasia Potapova. A woman came to watch the game wrapped in the national flag of Ukraine.
This is what Russian tennis players did not like. During a pause between games, the referee approached the fan and demanded that she leave the stands.
Nazli Mammadova, who also watched the match, published a photo from the match and claims that it was the Russian tennis players who complained to the referee that they were disturbed by the blue and yellow banner in the stands.
However, the fan decided to ignore the referee’s demands and continued to sit in the stands with the Ukrainian flag.
