In August, Ukrainian IT specialists “took down” online resources of the Russian Post, the Pension Fund, online banking services and video communication platforms created as part of “import substitution”.
Since the beginning of August, the Ukrainian IT army has blocked more than 600 Russian online resources. This was announced on Monday, August 15, by the press service of the Ministry of Digital Development.
It was learned that from August 1 to August 14, the IT army blocked several important online resources of the occupying country. Among them are online resources of the Russian Post. A powerful cyber attack completely paralyzed the work of the national postal operator of Russia. It is impossible to use postal services, send or receive a parcel.
“The cyberstrike paralyzed the work of the state post office and prevented revenue that could replenish the country’s budget and produce another enemy missile,” the ministry said.
Russia’s Pension Fund was also blocked. Due to cyber attacks, military families have not received payments and compensation for their living or non-living military personnel who participated in the war against Ukraine.
The IT army attacked online banking services, and clients of many Russian banks were unable to perform the desired financial transactions from a smartphone. Video communication platforms created by the Russians to replace popular services that left the Russian market were also attacked.
Earlier it was reported that the Ukrainian cyber police since the beginning of the full-scale attack on the Russian Federation rejected 83 enemy cyber attacks, and also prevented another 300.
