Finnish Prime Minister Sanna Marin believes that in order to abandon Russia’s energy carriers, a pan-European solution must be sought.
Finnish Prime Minister Sanna Marin said the country was ready to quickly phase out Russia’s natural gas and oil, according to Yle.
“We’re talking about weeks or months, not years (for the failure of Russia’s energy carriers) for Finland,” Marin said.
According to him, the situation for other European Union countries is more complicated.
“We need to do it quickly. However, it is likely that many other countries cannot refuse Russian fuel as fast as Finland. Therefore, now we need to find pan-European solutions,” he added.
Marin noted that it’s not about co-financing, but about how to help countries like Germany find alternative energy sources.
Recall that Finland will soon announce plans for a possible entry into NATO.
