North Macedonia returns four Su-25 attack aircraft to Ukraine. Skopje purchased the planes from Kyiv in 2001 for 4 million euros and returned them free of charge a few days ago.

Su-25 “Grach” were acquired during the Balkan conflict, when Ukraine helped North Macedonia with weapons. The planes were repaired and prepared for transfer by Ukrainian engineers.
The exact details of all decisions (on the transfer of aircraft to Ukraine – ed.), their content and explanation will be declassified and made public. The decisions taken do not reduce the combat readiness of our army, the North Macedonian Defense Ministry said.
The attack aircraft transferred to Ukraine made several sorties during the conflict in North Macedonia between Macedonians and Albanian separatists.
