Monks rise to a funicular in areas for meditation -pm, but at the top of the mountain the cable is damaged.
Seven Buddhist monks, including three foreigners, died when their funicular fell from the hillside north-west of Sri Lanka, local police on Thursday, September 25, reported for Barron.
According to law enforcement officials, late at night on Wednesday the victims were sent to a crowded carriage of railroads in areas for meditation at the top of the mountain at the Buddhist Forest’s large monastery.
“There are 13 monks in the car. Two manages to escape with minor injuries, but four others are in critical condition,” said the police representative.

He said the dead were monks from India, Russia and Romania. Preliminary messages testified that the cable broke, as a result of which the car at high speed rolls on the slope before jumping from the railroads and falling into a tree.
Note that the monastery is located 130 kilometers northern -east of Colombo capital.
