The President said the Ukrainian delegates were preparing for a difficult week of diplomacy. There are about 20 schedule meetings.
President Vladimir Zelensky announced the preparations for “weekly diplomacy”. The schedule includes meetings with nearly 20 leaders in the world. This is stated in his video message.
“There will be a week of the UN General Assembly – various events, meetings. It’s on the schedule – almost two dozen meetings with leaders of different countries from all parts of the world, with all who have long supported Ukraine and among our new partners,” the President said.
Zelensky added that the first meetings were open. In addition, this week is planned to meet US president Donald Trump.
The President also announced the climax of the return of the Ukrainian children and emphasized that it is important that this week establishes the world for decisive actions.
“There will be a significant event in the return of Ukrainian children abducted by Russia – the summit is really universal on this issue. It is important that the week adds to the world of will for decisive actions – the world will not rule without power,” Zelensky said.
He noted that the EU overall had agreed to 19 packages of sanctions against the Russian Federation and Ukraine hoped they would be approved immediately.
Remember that the Ukrainian delegation, led by President Vladimir Zelensky this week, will visit the UN General Assembly in New York. Recently, state secretary Marco Rubio said Trump could meet Zelensky next week.
Earlier, Zelensky called Trump to take a “clearly expressed position” on sanctions against Russia and security guarantee for Ukraine. In this regard, Trump said Zelensky “had to make a deal” to complete the war in Russia.
