Since October 1, 2025, coins with face value 10 kopecks will gradually remove from cash circulation. This was reported by the NBU press service.
“These bargaining coins remain in a payment tool. Trade networks, Ukraine’s services and banks will continue to accept them to perform organizations and payment transactions. Citizens do not need to specialize or exchange them,” the message said.
It has been noted that since October 1, 2025, banks will not release such coins from the cash desk for all types of cash, and the NBU will not mint coins with a face value of 10 kopecks. And they will stop adopting banks’ cash desks.
Given a significant portion of coins with a face value of 10 kopecks. In the treatment and reduction of demand for them, the decision of their gradual seizure will reduce the costs of the state and participants in the cash application for the manufacture, processing, transportation, storage and circulation of such coins.
