The US foreign minister told his Hungarian colleague about the rising terrorism of the Russian Federation, despite Kyiv’s peaceful efforts.
Foreign minister Andrei Sybiga held the phone talks with Hungarian colleague Peter Siyarteto on Tuesday, September 9. It was reported to the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine.
In a phone conversation, Ukrainian official told a Hungarian colleague about the rise of terrorism from Russia and “confirmed Ukraine’s promise of peaceful efforts.”
The foreign minister of both countries also discussed the upcoming visit of Vice Prime Minister Taras Kachi to Budapest “and other bilateral contacts between Ukraine and Hungary.”
“We look forward to consultations open to the rights of the Hungarian National Minority. Ukraine is ready to work on all bilateral issues in the spirit of respect for one another,” Sybiga added.
According to him, in a conversation with Siyarteo, he emphasized the need to open negotiations of negotiations as soon as possible in the EU participation negotiations and “ensure support for this step of all member states.”
Ukraine’s foreign minister positively appreciates the conclusion of a 10-year shell agreement with gas supplies: “As an important step towards strengthening the energy security of our region and throughout Europe.”
“The safety of Ukraine and Europe cannot be divided, and strengthening it is our usual interest. Pragmatics and mutual cooperation between our two countries is key, and we offer the Hungarian side to work here,” Sybiga said.
As you know, until the end of 2027, the European Union will completely prevent gas import from Russia. Hungary criticized this decision and requested compensation for efforts to change gas equipment.
