An anonymous artist faces 10 years in prison for damage to the Architectural Monument category I.
In London, police launched an investigation against Banksy due to the new graffiti, which appeared on the King of the King of the Court. This is reported by Daily Mail.
The building is among the architectural monuments of the 1st category, so the applied drawing is considered a cultural heritage damage.
In fresco, a judge is depicted with a wig and a mantle that spat on a protester with a hammer lying on the ground with a poster with blood. Perhaps, the work refers to recent events in London, as of about 900 people confined nearly 900 people during the demonstration in support of the illicit Palestine Action Group – the largest number in the history of Great Britain.
The drawing was painted in court, and the territory patrol was strengthened. The service representative of the courts and tribunals emphasized that the Royal Court as an architectural monument must maintain its original form.
Although Banksy has remained anonymous for almost 30 years, in the event of a test, he may have to reveal his name. The law provides for a penalty for up to 10 years in prison for damage to the monument, if the injury exceeds 5,000 pounds. If the value is lower, the actress may face three months of prison or a fine of 2500 pounds.
Earlier it was reported that unidentified British artist Banksy created seven new graffiti on the streets of London, and after the beginning of this week he added two more.
