The level of antipathy to the American president exceeds the support level, primarily provided by older people.
After seven months of the President’s second term, Donald Trump was under a wave of disappointment from American people, such as evidence of survey results conducted by Economist/Yougov and published on Saturday, August 23.
According to data, only 40% of Americans are completely or partially approved Trump’s work in the president’s status. At the same time, more than half of the elders of the United States, especially 56%, expressed their disagreement with its activities. Another 4% of survey participants cannot provide a final answer.
The President’s support level is divided into the affiliation of the party: supporters of the democratic party disapprove his work, while Republicans primarily show loyalty to the President.
Among the older people, aged 65 and older, Trump’s highest level of approved was recorded – 48% of respondents in full or partial support. At the same time, in young people aged 18 to 29 years, the support component is lower, only 29%.
Studies also show that only 23% of Americans “fully approve” the president’s work, while 47% expressed their refusal category to his activities.
The survey discovered chronic polarization depending on political views. Most citizens who identify themselves as “very liberal” (95%) express the unpleasant category to Trump. At the same time, among the “very conservative” Americans, most – 72% – express full support to the current president.
Earlier it was reported that the support rating of US President Donald Trump had fallen to the lowest level from the moment he returned to the White House. However, the White House leader called the media survey of his rating.
