The National Bank of Ukraine, within the framework of the charitable campaign Bold hryvnia, will collect coins in the denominations of 10, 50 kopecks and 1, 2, 5 and 10 hryvnias in the next three months. The amount of the raised funds will be transferred to the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the NBU said in a statement.
Currently, there are more than 14 billion coins in circulation worth more than 5 billion hryvnias. A significant number of small change coins, including coins with a face value of 10 kopecks (28.5% of the total number of coins in circulation) and 50 kopecks (9.3% of the total) are mostly unused by citizens for cash payments and lies. in the piggy bank or pocket.
From August 1 to October 31, 2022, every Ukrainian can join the campaign, collect coins and bring them to Oschadbank or FUIB branches in all regions of the country where these banks operate.
