We are talking about a group of 10,000 people who will receive basic military training in accordance with the standards of NATO and the British armed forces.
The military training proposed by London for the Ukrainians is mainly designed for volunteers who have not had basic military training, but there is also more specialized training for sailors. Ukrainian Ambassador to Britain Vadim Prystaiko spoke about this in an interview with Suspilny.
“We are talking about a 10,000-strong group of people who must receive basic military training in accordance with the standards of NATO and the British armed forces,” said Vadym Prystaiko.
They are volunteers, men and women between the ages of 25 and 40 in “all possible professions”, who usually have no basic military training.
According to Prystaiko, their training should last 120 days, and it is planned that every 120 days the next 10,000 will be trained.
Britain also offers narrower profile training. As the ambassador mentioned, he recently visited a warship, which in the future will be transferred to Ukraine.
“Our sailors are being trained about this… There will be several such ships,” he said.
Prystaiko noted that initially we were talking about two ships that are now in service in Britain.
Remember that in Britain they showed a video of the military training of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
It was previously reported that more than a thousand Ukrainian servicemen are improving their skills in the UK.
