The government does not intend to change either the tariffs, or the temperature standards, or the start date of the heating season.
The heating season in Ukraine will begin after October 15, subject to weather conditions. This was announced at a briefing on Saturday, July 30, by the Minister for Development of Communities and Territories, Alexei Chernyshev.
According to him, the start of the heating season is planned for mid-October. And at the government level, it was decided not to raise heat tariffs. Chernyshev also noted that gas for the population will be provided at the price of UAH 7,420 per thousand cubic meters.
“The Verkhovna Rada adopted three laws that actually make the heating period possible and provide compensation for the difference in tariffs. It is important for us to ensure that the heating period passes. That is , the physical and economic conditions for this are created,” said Chernyshev.
He also added that the normative temperature indicators will not be changed. According to him, the minimum temperature level that must be ensured is at least 18 degrees.
Earlier, the Cabinet announced the most difficult heating season. The government has been preparing for several months for various scenarios.
