It was noted that for the first half of 2025, the industrial production in Russia increased by 1.4 % in the annual terms. However, this growth is largely due to state orders for businesses related to the military -industrial complex.
The greatest growth was recorded in the manufacture of special -purpose vehicles (3.4 times more compared to 2022), electronics and optics (2.1 times), as well as metal products (1.5 times).
The only segment that grows in the civilian sector is ritual services. Against the back of a demographic collapse and war losses against Ukraine, the industry rose 16% in half -year, and its volume in January – April reached nearly $ 425 million.
Other civil industries, on the contrary, show a denial. In June, the total industry production index was reduced by 1.9 %. The biggest fall was in the production of civilian transportation (-26.8 %), electronics (-8.6 %) and leather products (-4.7 %). At the same time, exporting sunflower oil has reduced by 38 % in an annual comparison.
In July, the industrial optimism index fell below 2016 and 2022. The balance of expectations for release has been negative – for the first time since August 2022.
