The Danie government will transfer satellite images to Ukraine and will connect through the European Defensive Agency (EDA).
Ukraine will gain access to satellite communications terminals, the type of which is currently not disclosed for security reasons.
The Ministry of Defense of Denmark noted that Ukraine will gain access to the receipt of terminals that can use to establish access to satellite communications, which significantly contributes to the ability of Ukraine to continue the fight against the illegal invasion of Russia.
The terminals will provide a reliable and safe connection, which may be crucial for military operations – the message says.
EDA expects other EU countries to conduct an example from Denmark and consider the possibility of similar projects for the Armed Forces.
Defense Minister Denmark Trols Lund Polesen said:
I am proud to contribute to the space defense of Ukraine. Space is an area that requires more attention to defense policy. In close cooperation with the EU Defense Agency, Denmark has already contributed to strengthening Ukraine’s satellite communication in order to protect it from Muscovy. Space Solutions has a very great potential that can contribute to both Ukrainian and Danish and European defense.
