The artifact, where you will find some constellations, from the late neolithic to the early iron age.
In the mountains of Rhodopes in the south of Bulgaria, archaeologists discovered a unique artifact – a stone with a cut star sky, which was probably one of the most ancient popular attempts to describe a night sky on a stone. This was reported by Armeonews’ publication, to whom George Georgiev researchers personally sent a statement of Search.
A stone of about 2 × 3 meters lies in a forest near Thracian necropolis. Its surface has 56 conical recesses of various diameters – 24 on the northern part and 32 to the south – which may symbolize the stars of different brightness. Rock images give you to learn some constellations, especially a large bear, a lion, and also, perhaps, Cassiopeia, Swan, a lyre and a star cluster of a galaxy. In the middle of the composition, a natural bright marble root passes, which can symbolize the Milky Way.
Stone card dates, according to preliminary estimates, approximately 2000-500 BC. It is based on the proximity to other archaeological monuments of the region, especially the mountains and sanctuary, despite the lack of ceramics or organic material for accurate communication.
Researchers suggest that the composition reproduces the night sky of the northern hemisphere in some periods of the year and can be used as a type of star time to monitor the time -changing changes.
Another boulder with a cylindrical recess dedicated to the east was discovered next to the main stone. Perhaps, both things are formed by a ritual or navigation complex.
The matter is still not the official status of the monument – researchers are encouraged to include stone in the archaeological register of Bulgaria. Currently, a number of non-invasive studies are conducted in the area, including GPS-developing, geological tests and sunrise observation.
We will remind you, earlier that in the UK they found the shoes of the 46th size of the 1st century.
In Brazil, the 3000-year-old rock drawings were accidentally found
