In Yerevan, they were wondering why arresting people planning a coup in Armenia was considered in Russia as an unfriendly step toward Moscow.
In Armenia, they are angry at Russian state’s media rhetoric and officials with the country’s authorities after a coup attempt at the coup attempt. The corresponding protest record of the Armenian Foreign Ministry was transferred to the Russian Federation at Yerevan Sergey Kopyrkin, Armenpress reported.
According to the press secretary of the Armenian Foreign Ministry, said Badalyan, openly unfriendly, sometimes angry propaganda on Russian state television channels against the Armenian government has caused a disappointment to the Armenian side.
“The statement announced a decisive protest against openly non -friendly, frequently angry propaganda against the government of the Republic of Armenia in the media of the Russian Federation, which actively warmed up the statements of some officials, state representatives of the Russian Federation, the media and representative of the expert community,” the document said.
The note emphasizes that the insulting statements of Russian state television channels and attacking the activities of Armenian authorities “are completely unacceptable and led to the neutralization of positive results of recent high visits between Armenia and Russia.”
The document states that the statements of individual Russian representatives regarding the actions of Armenian law enforcement agencies to avoid attempts at a coup d’etat cause not only surprises, but also irritation.
“According to these statements, arresting people planning a coup d’etat is considered to be the next unfriendly step by Armenian prime minister Nikola Pashinean,” the country’s foreign ministry aforementioned.
The department argues that such statements are not only absurd, as it is unclear how and why the coup prevention is considered an unfriendly step, but also by rude intervention in Armenia’s internal work.
Remember, on June 25, Armenian prime minister Nikol Pashianan announced an attempt to occupy power in the country. It is reported that the authorities will be robbed of the divine struggle, led by the Archbishop of the Armenian Apostolic Church of Bagrat Galstyan.
Later, Armenia Arat Mirzoyan’s Foreign Affairs minister called the Minister of Foreign Russia Sergei Lavrov not to intervene in Armenia’s internal work. His comment was reminiscent of Lavrov’s statement about investigative actions and preventing Armenian clergy.
