On the 44th day of the war against Ukraine, Russian occupation troops are constantly trying to capture Ukraine’s communities.
European Council President Charles Michel supported the proposal to allocate another 500 million euros for the supply of weapons to Ukraine. Weapons purchased with these funds will arrive in Ukraine in the coming weeks, said on Thursday, April 7, in Twitter Charles Michel.
“After speedy approval, the new tranche will increase EU support already provided for military equipment for Ukraine to 1.5 billion euros,” Michel said.
The President of the European Council also thanked the head of EU diplomacy, Josep Borrell, for providing additional funding.
Recall that the United States and its partners provided 60,000 anti-tank and 25,000 anti-aircraft systems to Ukrainian servicemen.
The United States has also allocated $ 100 million to Ukraine for Javelin missiles. Since the start of the full Russian invasion, the total amount of funds allocated to Ukraine for defense has exceeded $ 1.7 billion.
