The official Moscow called the special tribunal against the Russian Federation “insignificant”, and its support – “hostile demarche.”
The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs responded to an agreement on the creation of a special tribunal to investigate the aggression crimes against Ukraine. This was reported by Rossmi on Thursday, June 26th.
Foreign Ministry’s press secretary Maria Zakharova said Moscow did not recognize the jurisdiction of the special tribunal in attacking the crime against Ukraine. According to him, for Russia, the work and decision of the tribunal “is void.”
“We will consider any of the states of him as a hostile demarche, reflecting the desire not to live, but to deepen the current crisis around Ukraine,” Zakharova said.
Representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation also accused the European council of “the formation of quasiuridic mechanisms directed against Russia.”
Remember, on June 25, President Vladimir Zelensky and Secretary of the General Council of Europe Alain Berse signed an agreement on the creation of a special tribunal to investigate the crimes of aggression against Ukraine. The special tribunal against Russia will have the status of an international body.
The head of the state said a strong political cooperation is required so that every Russian criminal, including Vladimir Putin, will appear in court.
