The Armed Forces of Ukraine moved away from the village of Novoluganskoye, located near the Uglegorsk thermal power plant, which was captured by the Russians this morning.
Russian troops captured Novoluganskoye in the Donetsk region. This was announced on Tuesday, July 26, by Maxim Cherevko, deputy head of the military administration of the city of Svetlodar, on the air of Vilny Radio.
“We moved away from Novoluganskoye. I can’t say exactly where we went. I know that the withdrawal of troops is under heavy pressure,” said Cherevko.
He noted that battles are still being fought in this direction.
“Continuous shelling near Semigorye, Kodema, the whole side is under heavy artillery shelling, and air strikes are also taking place,” Cherevko added.
Note that Novoluganskoye is located near the Uglegorsk thermal power plant, which was captured by the Russians this morning. Thus, the enemy controlled the entire so-called “Svetlodar arc” – the fortified area of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the southeast of Bakhmut. Svetlodarsk itself was captured in May.
It will be remembered that on the eve of shelling in the Donetsk region, three civilians were killed.
