American HIMARS are a nightmare for the “best” Russian pilots and officers.
So, for example, they report the death of Maxim Potemin, a 41-year-old fighter pilot, the Daily Mail writes.
He died on July 8 as a result of shelling of a motorcade in Donetsk. His father reported that his son’s car was hit by a HIMARS missile.
Also, high-precision weapons hit 54-year-old Colonel Anatoly Stasyukevich, a fighter pilot. He was chief of staff of the 1st Guards Red Banner Mixed Aviation Division. He was considered a representative of the Russian military elite.
Attacks on command posts led to the elimination of dozens of Russian officers. NASA data shows that the number of artillery used in the Donbass has dropped markedly over the past two weeks. This freed up Ukrainian troops to attack elsewhere, especially in the south near Kherson.
The Daily Mail learned that Potemeny was married and had two children. He was posthumously awarded the Russian Order of Courage, which honors “selfless deeds of courage and bravery.”
Stasyukevich was a third-generation military pilot. He flew in the same unit as then, based in Krymsk, Krasnodar Territory.
