In the main director of intelligence, they responded to the statements of the Russian Federation about the “absence” of Russian prisoners in Ukraine.
Russians argue as if in Ukraine almost no conquerors were captured. This information is not true. This was said by representative of the main director of the Ministry of Defense Andrei Yusov at the Liga.net comment on Thursday, June 19.
He emphasized that the Russian Federation’s information was after the exchange in the “1000 per 1000” format in Ukraine, almost no Russian prisoners of war, fake.
“This is a lie, briefly. The lie that deliberately spreads with the aim of sowing panic, despair within Ukrainian society, and, of course, to strengthen some kind of uma-patriotic sentiment within Russia,” Yusov said.
According to the GUR representative, there is no “thousands” of Ukrainian prisoners in Russia, and there are thousands of Russian prisoners in Ukraine.
“And the task of replenishing the exchange fund will continue despite the various manipulations. We do not comment on specific numbers, but we are talking about thousands of Russian conquerors in captivity in Ukrainian,” he said.
On May 23, after the first phase of a large exchange, Russian telegram channels said that nearly 1300 military personnel of the Russian Federation remained in captivity in Ukraine, and in the captivity of the Russian Federation – “nearly 10,000” Ukrainian soldiers.
Remember that in the framework of exchanges in Ukraine, 6060 bodies of dead military personnel were restored to Ukraine. The entire identity will take 14 months. All related services work in three transfers to perform this work as quickly as possible.
