“Our meeting with Putin is really different. Because today we play a very important role in the Zelensky-Putin affair. Because we do not look at anyone through the eyes of the enemy, and therefore our appearance carries a sincere -heart approach from both sides . Except As you know, there is a Western approach to Putin, that is, it is not the approach that suits politicians. Of course, if you look at it, how will Putin look at you?” Erdogan said.
The Turkish president added that during the meeting in Iran, he and Putin “easily resolved” issues of bilateral relations.
“Of course, there are some disagreements between us and the negative conditions created by the war. We did what we believed in. And we must maintain our existing bilateral relations with Russia based on mutual interests and develop them in potential directions,” Erdogan said.
The Turkish president also called on the participants in the Ukrainian grain export agreement to respect the agreement and comply with their obligations.
