The recently elected Polish President Karol Navenki opposed Ukraine to join the European Union.
In his opinion, Ukraine should still prepare to join the block from a strategic and geopolitical point of view. That is why the accelerated procedure for the entry of Ukraine to the EU will not be approved by Warsaw. Navenki said this in an interview with the Hungarian publication Mandiner.
He also stated that Russia is still the largest threat to the region, so Poland must continue to support Ukraine. Nevertheless, he emphasized that countries like Poland and Hungary have their own national interests.
For example, Poland has such an interest in the exhumation of the victims of Vlon. During the campaign, I do not agree, and, as the president, I do not agree to unfair competition with Ukraine for the Polish agricultural or logistics sector. We need to achieve a compromise and consensus on these issues, ”Navenki said.
We will recall that in Poland in the presidential election, Karol Navenka won the candidate from the Law and Justice party. He received 50.89% of the vote, and his opponent Rafala Tshaskovsky was supported by 49.11% of voters.
Navrotsky once stated that he had not seen Ukraine in international alliances until Kyiv was responsible for the crime in Volon, referring to Valin’s tragedy.
And in May of this year, he promised not to let Ukraine in NATO. He is also against sending the Polish troops to Ukraine, if the Western peacekeepers are still sent.
