Dmitry Peskov does not consider the leaders of the leaders of Ukraine, USA and Russia in the near future.
In Moscow, they did not expect “breakthroughs” in the second cycle of negotiations between Ukraine and Russia. But the “important agreement” reached. Kremlin Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov said this in a briefing on Tuesday, June 3.
“It is wrong to expect some instant solutions and breakthroughs here. But the work is happening. Some agreements have reached Istanbul, they are important. In fact, first of all, people are still realized. These agreements will be implemented,” he said and added that Russia is now awaiting a reaction to its project so -called memorandum.
According to Peskov, the proposed document aims to get rid of the “root cause of conflict.”
“We repeatedly said that the topic of the negotiation is very important. It consists of a large number of nuances. You saw yesterday the published text of the Memorandum project we provided on the Ukrainian side. It contains many positions, there is a polyvision. Everyone aims to get rid of the roots caused by this rivalry,” said.
At the same time, Peskov does not consider the leaders of the Russian Federation, the USA and Ukraine are possible in the near future.
“Honestly, in the near future this is not likely. Because President Putin repeatedly emphasizes his readiness for contacts at the highest level, while emphasizing that these contacts should be the result of those agreements that are already developing at the technical level, at the expert level. Therefore, President Putin supports these contacts,” Peskov said.
Remember, on June 2, the second cycle of negotiations between Ukraine and Russia took place in Istanbul. According to the assembly results, the parties have only reached an agreement with the next exchange of certain military categories. Kyiv also gave a list of several hundred Ukrainian children abducted by Russia.
In this regard, the Russians moved their vital “memorandum” and said they offered Kyiv a temporary stop in some sections of the front. In response, President Vladimir Zelensky called Russia’s idiots.
