Volodymyr Zelensky, the President of Ukraine, attached the composition of the Ukrainian delegation in negotiations with the Russian Federation in Istanbul.
This is indicated in Decree No. 359/2025, published today, June 1, on the website of the presidential office.
According to the decree, the delegation currently includes 14 people, while during the first round of negotiations in Istanbul on May 16, the Ukrainian delegation consisted of 12 people.
As the previous time, the delegation is headed by the Minister of Defense of Rastima Umarov. In addition, this included:
- Advisor to the presidential office Alexander Bevz;
- Oleksandr Dill, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Military Fleet of the Armed Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine;
- First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergey Kislitsia;
- The representative of the Commissioner of the Verkhovna Rada of Human Rights in the system of security and protection (with the consent) of Yuri Kovbas;
- officer of the protocol of the apparatus on the provision of official activities of the commander -in the course of the Armed Forces of the Armed Forces of the Armed Forces of the Armed Forces of Georgy Kuzmaykhov;
- First Deputy Head of the Foreign Intelligence Service Oleg Lugovsky;
- Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Yevgeny Zrostinsky;
- Deputy Chairman of the Security Service of Ukraine Oleksandr Pomad;
- Deputy Head of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense Vadim Skibitsky;
- Head of the Department of International Law – Deputy Head of the Department of International and Operational Law of the Central Legal Administration of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Armed Forces Andriy Fomina;
- Deputy Head Head of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Aleksi Shevchenko;
- Senior officer of the Main Operational Department of the General Staff of the Armed Forces Alexander Sherikhov;
- Deputy Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of the Armed Forces of Evgeny Shinkarov.
Thus, in the new composition of the delegation, there is no head of the Department of International and Operational Law of the Central Legal Department of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Alexei Malovatsky, at the same time it included Fomin, Sobbas and Zrosky.
The new round of negotiations in Istanbul was appointed for tomorrow, June 2. Russian media have already reported that the Russian delegation went to Turkey. It is expected that the composition of the Russian delegation will be the same as May 16.
