If the sites offer adequate trial mechanisms with age, the investigation may end.
The European Commission has begun an investigation into four porn sites – Pornhub, Stripchat, XNXX and Xvideos – due to the inability to effectively prevent minors who help adults, reports The Guardian.
The investigation was conducted within the framework of the EU law in digital services -a large -scale regulation aimed at combating online dwellings, including misinformation, cyber attacks, hate and sale of fakes. One of the main points of DSA is the protection of children on the Internet, especially preventing mental damage, which can cause pornographic content.
After the review, the European Commission’s politician finished that all four platforms use very simple age test forms, in particular clicks to confirm aging, which, according to the regulator, is not an effective way of protecting minors.
Although the investigation does not have a certain term of completion, the commission noted that they are willing to act quickly depending on the reaction of the platforms. If the sites offer adequate testing mechanisms with age, the investigation may stop. Otherwise, companies face fine up to 6% of the global annual shift.
We will remind you, earlier it was reported that the people were urged to hinder pornhub for the United States.
